How to Delete Your Account & Data

If you ever decide you want to delete your account or request the removal of your personal data, this page explains how.

1. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you delete your account:

  • Your profile, username, and account details are permanently removed.
  • Your private messages are deleted or anonymized (depending on system setup).
  • Your public posts and comments may remain on the site to preserve discussion threads, but they will no longer be associated with your username.
    • If you want specific posts removed, you can request that individually (see below).

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

2. How to Delete Your Account

Option A: Delete Your Account Through Your Settings

  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. Select Privacy & Security.
  4. Click Delete Account.
  5. Confirm your decision by following the on-screen prompts.

If you cannot access your account or prefer manual help:

  3. Include the email tied to your account and your username.

We may request verification to prevent unauthorized deletions.

3. How to Request Removal of Specific Posts or Data

If you want to keep your account but remove certain posts or personal information:

  1. Go to the post or comment you want removed.
  2. Use the built-in Report or Delete option (if available).

    • The URL of the post
    • Your username
    • What you want removed and why

4. Downloading Your Data Before Deletion (Optional)
